Why Alberta?
Alberta is above all for those who love recreation in a peaceful countryside environment. Alberta is not a hostel, a pension or a motel by the road for an overnight stay. Alberta is a guest house, it is „a home away from home“ with all that belongs to the real cozy home and recreation.
Recreational activities
The environment and surroundings of the farmhouse offers numerous opportunities for outdoor activities of all kinds. The center of the wonderful historical gem, Český Krumlov, is just 2 kms away (a twenty-minute’s walk), many similar historical sites nearby are worth visiting as well, such as the Castle Rožmberk, Dívčí Kámen "young girl’s cliff", Klášter Vyšší Brod and others.
Barbeque - sittings by an open fire is possible at any time, in the farmhouse garden
Horse riding - a horse riding club is just next to the farmhouse
Walks in the countryside - through the picturesque valley of the Moldau river, it is possible to reach Castle Rožmberk
Biking - the international biking trail to Linz (Austria) leads just past the house, through the river valley of the Moldau - two adult trekking bikes and two children bikes are available free of charge
Bathing/Swimming in summer - Lake Lipno is 25 km away
Rafting - in the season, to drift along the romantic valley of the River Moldau is possible daily, from Vyšší Brod to Český Krumlov.
Mountain Kleť with a lookout onto Southern Bohemia and Austria as far as the Alps - daily hike (or by a lift) is possible any time.
Children's entertainment - a swing, small swimming pool, trampoline and a sandpit are all available in the garden.
